Nigerian taxman raids Skyjet Aviation Services



Nigeria's Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has seized and sealed off the premises of Skyjet Aviation Services (Kaduna) in the Northwest Nigerian city of Kaduna citing unpaid back taxes.



According to The Leadership newspaper, the charter specialist owes NGN178.4 million naira (USD515,754.40) in Company Income Tax and Withholding Tax.

Founded in 1991, Skyjet Aviation Services provides aircraft sales, aircraft maintenance and management as well as business charter operations. Its fleet entails three EMB Legacy 600 (ERJ-135)s, one Gulfstream IV SP, one Hawker Beechcraft 800XP, one Hawker Beechcraft 900XP, and one Learjet 45XR.
