RwandAir to begin A330 ops in 4Q
RwandAir (WB, Kigali) has outlined its tentative A330 operational timetable with regular flights to begin on October 26. According to Airline Route, the widebody jet will make its debut with a 4x weekly direct Kigali-Dubai Int'l service.
RwandAir has one A330-300 and one A330-200 on order from Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) with both due to deliver during the current half of the year.
Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 772B engines, the two aircraft will feature a three-class cabin layout. The A330-200 will feature 244 seats (twenty business class, twenty-one premium and 203 economy class) while the A330-300 will have 274 seats (thirty business class, twenty-one premium and 223 economy class).
Both jets will be used in developing the Rwandan national carrier's longhaul network to include destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
