The flight data recorder of crashed EgyptAir Flight MS804 has been successfully repaired, according to Egyptian investigators.
That paves the way for the analysis of data that may explain why the jet plunged into the Mediterranean Sea last month.
The recorders arrived in Paris from Cairo on Monday to remove salt deposits. They are due to be sent back to a laboratory in the Egyptian capital to analyze the data, authorities said.
The Airbus A320 was en route from Paris to Cairo when it crashed on May 19, killing all 66 people on board.
Its pilots made no distress call and no group has claimed to have brought down the aircraft.
