A light aircraft crashed into a County Council van in Lambley, Nottinghamshire, after taking off from a rural airstrip.
The collision took place in Lambley at around 12.40pm on Thursday afternoon.
Although no-one has been injured, a cordon has been put in place and a road closed while the area is investigated.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a light aircraft and van in Lambley at about 12.40pm today.
"The incident is thought to have happened as the aircraft took-off from Lambley Airstrip. Nobody has been injured.
"A cordon is in place around the aircraft and Green Lane is closed to traffic while the area is examined.
"The Civil Aviation Authority has been informed.
