Four British plane spotters have been arrested and held in Kenya after taking pictures of aircraft taking off from an airport.
Friends Eddie Swift, Paul Abbott, Steve Gibson and Ian Glover were held in the country's capital Nairobi on suspicion of terror offences after taking snaps from an airport pub.
Relatives of the men - who were on a two-week trip plane spotting in Africa - said "none of them would harm a fly" and described the situation as worrying.
Eddie's brother Peter said his brother, who lives in Stockport, was "anxious".
Speaking to The Sun, he said: "Eddie and his mates are just chaps who like taking pictures of planes. It's a very worrying time.
"I've spoken to Eddie. He tried to put a brave face on it but I could tell he was anxious."
Under Kenyan law, terrorists face 30 years in prison.
Pictures on the Facebook pages of the men show images they have taken of planes while on various trips.
On the Facebook page of Paul Abbott, he posted a picture of a plane which appeared to be on an airport runway in Nairobi.
It was the following day when the men were arrested and taken for questioning after sparking the terror alert.
The four men later appeared in court and were remanded in custody for a week.
They have been charged with trespassing and using a mobile phone app to monitor flights.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are in contact with Kenyan authorities following the arrest of four British nationals and are ready to provide consular assistance."
