New Delhi: Bid to flirt with an airhostess has cost a senior SpiceJet pilot his job today.
The action against the pilot was taken after he made an air hostess to sit with him inside the cockpit while flying the flight. The pilot was found guilty after an inquiry in the case by an internal complaint committee.
According to reports, the concerned Kolkata-Bangkok-Kolkata SpiceJet flight of February 28 witnesses a breach of the security as an air hostess was seen accompanying the pilot flying it. While according to the followed norm by the airlines a co-pilot is needed to accompany the main pilot, such a scene sparked concerned among the passengers.
It is said that, flouting the practiced norm the accused pilot of commander-level sent the co-pilot out of the cockpit for a substantial period of time and made the air-hostess sit with him. Not only that, he allegedly used abusive language towards cabin crews present in the flight during its journey from Kolkata to Bangkok. As if it was not sufficient, the accused pilot repeated the act even on the return leg of the journey.
The matter came to light after the concerned air hostess filed a complaint in this case near the internal committee of the airlines dealing with sexual assault cases. Similarly, while investigating into the matter the committee received another complaint from a cabin crew in the case.
