TWO KILLED IN LIMPOPO PLANE CRASH



JOHANNESBURG – Emergency services in Limpopo say two people have died after a light aircraft crash near Lephalale overnight.



The plane went down yesterday, just after sunset. 

Paramedics say that when they arrived on the scene, both passengers had died. 

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says, “Paramedics arrived in the scene and found the wreckage of the aircraft between some bushes. It had crashed and caught alight.”

An inquest docket opened after a Gyro Helicopter crashed at approximately 18:20 last night at Ashanti Lodge about 30km from Lephalale on the Thabazimbi road.
According to information, the helicopter hit a tree before it fell to the ground and burst into flames. Both men on board died on the scene. The Civil Aviation Authority will investigate the cause of the accident.
