Pak copter crash kills military officer

An army officer was killed today when a military helicopter on a routine night training mission crashed in northern Pakistan.

The helicopter was on a routine mission when he crashed near Tarbela in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Army said that Lt Col Tauqeer was killed in the crash while four other officials on board survived.

Air crashes are common in Pakistan and most of these are caused due to technical faults.

In one of the worst crash in May last year, an Mi-17 army helicopter crashed in northern Pakistan killing seven people, including two foreign ambassadors.
