Photos – Second Boeing 737-8 MAX Emerges From Factory

On a rainy night, similar to the morning of the first Boeing 737-8 MAX First Flight, the second Boeing 737-8 MAX emerged on the company’s Renton Flight Line this week.
It adorns a “Light” Company scheme similar to what we’ve previously seen on the 747-8F and 787 Flight Test programs with ZA003 before it was repainted in the full colors along with ZA004-ZA006. These are the first photos to emerge of 1A002, who’s registration will be N8702L. The difference from when we last saw this scheme is the blue line that runs down the fuselage is a darker blue compared to what we had seen on the 787 and 747-8F.

First flight of the second 737-8 MAX should come no later then mid-March.  The first MAX has already flown 11 total flights and roughly 33 hours of air time in just the first half month of testing. Some can say that the flight test campaign is already off into full swing as flutter testing is underway with 1A001. As of late she has been flying with nine engineers on board and two pilots.
