Dubai Police have taken part in a global operation to stop online aviation fraud.
It’s resulted in hundreds of arrests being made across the world, targeting criminals using stolen credit cards to buy and sell airline tickets online.
The operation ran from November 2014 until the end of last year and included half a dozen arrests in the UAE.
According to police, the aviation industry loses AED 3.67 billion a year due to fraud.
