Thanks to Singaporean budget airline Scoot, passengers onboard a Melbourne flight bound for Singapore got a chance to experience love up in the air just days before Valentine's Day.
During the eight-hour flight, the crew put on Scoot's signature 787 Dreamliner rainbow cabin lighting and went down the aisle dancing to Pink's "Get This Party Started."
To get passengers in the mood for love, "Lovefool" by The Cardigans was then played over the PA system, reported Daily Mail Australia. Coupled-up passengers were also treated to a lovey-dovey photoshoot, where they got to take pictures with their loved one while posing with cute props that included a handmade "Be my Valentine" frame.
Nick Renwick, who was onboard the romantic flight, documented on his Instagram account the experience that he got to share with his partner.
"Ok so @flyscootau is the coolest airline," he wrote. "Halfway through the flight, they turned on rainbow lighting and the song Lovefool then we got to do photo shoots."
According to Scoot's official Instagram account, the "Love is in the air" inflight event was part of the airline's #wannabeascootie social media campaign to get Scoot customers to share their experience online.
Since its inception in 2012, the low-cost carrier has been known for its spontaneous events and tongue-in-cheek ads that are referred to as the "scootitude." A spokesperson for the airlines toldDaily Mail Australia that all of Scoot's crew members are encouraged to be fun and spontaneous, therefore every flight experience is different.
In October last year, Scoot made international headlines when they released a video that poked fun at U.S airline Spirit for copying its branding.
This Valentine's Day, Scoot has extended its "Love is in the air" campaign to include flight promotions for couples and love declaration newspaper ads.
